In Togo we started to work together with the association Zam-Ké, that produces articles from used plastics. By doing this, millions of plastic bags, banners and other material are removed from the streets of Lomé to get a second life. Second benefit : the revenues of all sold recycled products are used to reduce illiteracy amongst teenagers in Togo. the perfect combination of b.green and b.foundation - well done team Togo!

Zam-Ké means "Use me again" in Mina, one of the most spoken languages in Togo.

The association collects the plastic from the city streets, but they also recycle corporate plastics, such as marketing material, advertising banners, etc.

All revenues from sales go to another organisation, Akplanou, a library-school, linked to the French School, with specific programmes on the elimination of illiteracy amongst teenagers in Togo.

Which support does Brussels Airlines bring in?

We already made a number of used advertising vinyls available which Zam-Ké recycled into shopping bags, wallets, laptop holders....It is our intention to step up our support, not only in the sales process but also in collecting used vinyls. That's why we call upon our teams in all stations, mainly Africa, to hand in their old vinyl material. Everything is welcome : banners, roll-ups (cygognes), street billboards,...Kindly ship small items in a green comail bag or larger materials in a rush tag bag/carton to our team in Lomé.

Check out the Zam-Ke website to find an overview of all the products.

In the future the produts will be available for sale in Belgium/Europe as well.

Thank you in advance for your support!
